Sessions

Sessions are conducted online. Current openings are primarily afternoons, Monday through Friday, Pacific Time.

I do not conduct in-person sessions at this time.

Insurance

I do not accept insurance at this time. However, I am happy to provide you with a monthly superbill to submit to your health coverage plan for reimbursement.

Depending on your plan, superbills can often cover 50% to 80% of fees.

  • I accept payment through SimplePractice. Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise arranged.

  • I currently do not accept insurance but I can provide a superbill for you to seek reimbursement from your insurance.

  • A superbill is a document detailing the services provided, costs, and necessary coding, which clients can use to seek reimbursement from their insurance company. Please get in touch with your insurance to determine your mental health benefits and if a superbill is right for you.

  • Depending on availability, appointments can be moved within the week for no extra charge. Missed appointments will be billed the session rate.

  • The frequency of sessions depends on your individual needs and goals, which we can discuss during our initial consultation. Typically, clients start with weekly sessions.

  • Consultation calls are free, 15 minute virtual meetings to help you find the right therapist. After you schedule a consultation, you’ll receive a link for a virtual meeting through Simple Practice, a HIPAA-compliant EHR program I use to conduct my sessions. I like to start these meetings by hearing what you are hoping to get out of therapy and discuss any goals you may have. From there, I will provide information about my practice, policies, and answer questions you may have about me or my approach to therapy.

    It’s important that you feel we are the right fit and I encourage you to have similar calls with other therapists. Typically after our consultation call, we’ll set up a session for the following week but you are free to cancel via text or email up to 24 hours in advance. That way you’ll have time to mull it over, meet with other therapists, and avoid feeling pressure if anything changes! If you feel we aren’t a good match, let me know as I’m happy to help you find someone who is a better fit for you and your therapy goals.

  • Yes, all sessions are confidential with a few legal exceptions, such as if there is a threat to harm yourself or others. I will explain confidentiality in more detail in our first session.

  • If you're feeling overwhelmed, struggling with emotional or mental health issues, or simply need someone to talk to while working through life's challenges, therapy can be helpful for many aspects of your life.
